Taj Mahal (Jasmine Flowers)
If Rose is the essence of love, Jasmine is certainly the key to romance and is still revered as such in Hindu and Muslim traditions. Jasmine is an ancient aphrodisiac, warming body and soul. So, when Sultan built the Taj Mahal as a temple of love to his late wife, he planted a jasmine grove where, in the moonlight unseen, he might inhale it’s scent and forever experience her eternal appeal. In the harem, the prince's favorite was soaked in Jasmine-scented bath and received an elaborate jasmine massage to induce ecstasy in her lover. Jasmine's scent is sweet, exotic and rich so it's no surprise that the essential oil is a valuable, soothing aphrodisiac and mood lifter. Originally from China and Northern India, the name Jasmine is derived from the Persian 'yasmin'. The Chinese, Arabians and Indians used Jasmine medicinally, as an aphrodisiac and for ceremonial purposes. Our Jasmine Flowers, Taj Mahal and Monoi di Tahiti scents combine the finest Jasmine Essential Oil with precious and rare Jasmine Absolutes, Concretes and two types of Jasmine floral waxes --- Jasmine Sambac and Grandiflora. In The Language of Flowers Jasmine stands for "amiability that attracts wealth." Hmmmm!
